Insomniac // Track of the Day: Giorgia Angiuli “In the Dark”
Between tirelessly tinkering with her analog toys and putting her own vocal chords to good use, Giorgia Angiuli has more than proven she has the goods. Based out of Italy, she’s been filing some of the most refined offerings to come out on the tech house front. On her latest EP, Underskin Harmony, she opts for a more compositional approach to crafting club music, in which she delivers four diverse, emotively driven cuts with extreme panache.
On “In the Dark,” one of the more driving efforts from the set, Angiuli embraces a deep aesthetic anchored by her pensive vocal hook. Whirring pads, circular key phrases and rousing arps dance in the shadows of the delicate drum work she uses to ensure the party is pumping.
